Immediate opportunities based in Sydney’s CBD to join one of Australia’s leading broadcast services organisations in Master Control Operations.
 
The Job:
Manage and maintain signal routing paths and continuity of audio video transmission for local and global customer requirements in a state-of-the-art digital broadcast operations centre.  The role of Master Control Operator is a technical operations role challenging your ability to coordinate multiple tasks, your attention to detail, and your calm professionalism under pressure.
 
The Master Control Operator will undertake monitoring, routine checks and operations of transmission infrastructure, encoding and decoding equipment, broadcast control systems as well as satellite teleport services in order to provide a high quality of content services and minimise on-air issues.
 
At present we are looking for both hands-on operators as well as senior MCR operators with an interest in supervisory and problem management duties.
 
What we need:
We’re looking for experienced MCR Operators with good knowledge of AV routing across multiple signal paths (IP, Satellite, Fibre, RF) in a busy, contemporary broadcast playout or transmission facility.
 
Applicants with a background in other broadcast or streaming operations functions who have an interest in professional broadcast Master Control are also encouraged to apply.
 
Broadcasting is a 24 hour business and as such the Master Control Operator must be comfortable working varied hours across a 24/7 shift roster. 

We need:
  • Career experience in Master Control or similar broadcast operations.
  • Exposure to broadcast satellite, fibre, IP, and / or streaming technologies.
  • Attention to detail, methodical and responsive.
  • Approachable team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable working on a 24/7 roster.
