We are looking for an Infrastructure Security Engineer to join the in-house technology team with one of Australia’s leading broadcast services organisations, to focus on the identification, threat prevention and upkeep of critical security technology and procedures.
 
The Job:
Based in Sydney’s north, the role of Infrastructure Security Engineer is a varied position working with both business and technology teams to drive security improvements within the organisation’s technology infrastructure.
Typical projects might relate to on-prem or cloud technology initiatives, server, networking, storage, and virtualised systems patching, upgrades or lifecycle deployment projects.
 
Responsibilities will include:
  • Collaboration with business and technology leaders to coordinate security improvements. 
  • Implementation, upgrades, patching, and maintenance of security infrastructure. 
  • Ongoing documentation and knowledge sharing. 
  • Prompt threat response and troubleshooting. 
  • Identifying emerging security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats. 
 
We're looking for a motivated Infrastructure Security Engineer comfortable managing and maintaining infrastructure security fundamentals in a professional media or broadcasting environment.  Further exposure to customer-facing, technical support or change functions will also be useful.
 
Useful technical exposure:
  • Upkeep of cloud-based web proxy solutions, firewalls, NAC and end-point protection systems. 
  • Testing and deployment of security updates and patches – server and network.
  • Experience coordinating threat response activities. 
  • Experience coordinating security certification and compliance initiatives.
  • Experience working in a professional broadcast or media environment.
  • Good interpersonal, administrative and documentation skills.
