​IMMEDIATE full-time opportunity for a Broadcast IT Engineer to join the Technology Services team with one of Australia's leading Broadcast Services organisations.

The role of Broadcast IT Engineer covers day-to-day support and maintenance of the latest digital, broadcast IT platform infrastructure, network and storage technology plus involvement in new projects to develop, upgrade and improve the facility's capability to deliver services to its customers.
 

Typical responsibilities:
  • Maintenance of multi-vendor systems and infrastructure in an on-air, IT broadcast environment.
  • Fault finding and investigation of network and server-based issues.
  • Project planning and delivery.
  • Prompt technical support.
  • Upkeep of documentation, manuals, and design drawings.
 

What we need:
We’re looking for an experienced Broadcast IT Engineer with technical support and administration capabilities in cross platform Windows and Linux platforms plus networking fundamentals.

Working within a supportive team, the Broadcast IT Engineer will maintain critical on-air broadcast and video streaming infrastructure, so exposure to similar systems in a contemporary digital TV, streaming or broadcasting environment is key.
  • Windows and Linux platform support and admin.
  • Network support and admin.
  • Experience supporting Broadcast IT infrastructure and workflows.
  • Exposure and interest in cloud platforms.
  • Python or PoweShell scripting skills an advantage.
  • Attention to detail and thorough documentation skills.
  • Approachable manner with good communication skills.
 
And for you:
The successful Broadcast IT Engineer will join an experienced Technical Services team working regular business hours as well as rostered shifts (early start / early finish or late start / late finishes). All Technical Services team members join a rotating on-call roster.
